Can shared at John’s back tasting. Almost black with small dark beige head. Sweet chocolate, soft cinnamon, soft chilies, soft licorice, soapy, light roast and brown sugar. Quite sweet and medium bitter. Almost full bodied. Nice but a bit soapy.

Can at the Jim Green Returns tasting, Zaandam. Poured a murky medium brown colour with little life. The aroma is roasty malt, light vanilla, chocolate, liqouirce. The flavour is moderate sweet light liquorice bitter with a smooth, rich, roasty, chocolate, aromatic hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

10/12/18: Stout with some cinnamon, the tiniest trace of chilli that disappeared after the first sip and a hint of cocoa. This disappointed a bit, with a name like this you'd expect more of everything. Very flat, almost flavorless.

26/4/21: CD 29/10/2020. Definitely better than the first time I had it. Slight gusher, black with lots of frothy foam. Smells roasty, slightly metallic. Some cinnamon and chilli. Not too thick but smooth. Tastes rich, dark chocolate, bit of heat. Quite bitter.
