Bottle. Freigeist Ottekolong version of this beer. Golden, slightly hazy, with a large three to four finger and lots of lace. Aroma is bread, grains. Taste is a well balanced flavor with notes of grains a tad tangy up front and a clean finish.

(Bottle, 4.8%) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with apricot marmalade, white bread, banana and spices. Fruity taste with notes of apricot marmalade, bread, hay, spices and a gentle grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Well balanced and tasty. Nice one.

From City Brew Tours. Pint can. I see mentions of dating but there are none on this can. Brewed by Urban Chestnut Brewing Company.

It pours a slightly hazy pale gold with a nice firm head of foam, lacing seems to be good.

I get some bread, grassy hops, light fruitiness, like apples and grapes in the smell.

Swishing the beer in my mouth, the fruitiness is more obvious. Apples and grapes, both sweetish and lightly tart, lemon, followed by some bread and a medium amount of grassy hops. I seem to miss the complexity when I just drink.

Good mouthfeel, quite a nice Kolsch.

This version brewed at Urban Chestnut in St. Louis, MO. Cloudy pale straw-orange body, huge cream head. Effervescent carbonation. Aroma estery (clove, banana), biscuit, bread dough, and floral hops. Body has a nice bite and sour tang, with a bready-estery middle (again with more pronounced banana and clove notes than I recall ever noticing in a Kolsch). Really enjoyable.

Lemon, biscuit malt, and grass aroma. Hazy golden yellow with large white head and moderate effervescence. Lightly sweet lemon, biscuit malt, and mildly bitter grass flavor. Good body - high carbonation. Nice.

$3.25 pint can, WW. Hazy gold with a white head. Cracker, citrus, leaf nose. Bread crust, lemon zest, dough, green leaf. Odd aftertaste that's not quite pleasant.

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Pale golden pour, hazy, small foamy white head. Aroma is the same biscuit malts as the style, lacking the crispness. Taste is malty, bready, coupled with a full mouthfeel, but kind of light on the hops. Not bad overall.
