Honey, slight maple. Kind of disappointing to be honest. Heading to the party now. Everyone have a great rest of your day.
P.S. happy Hanukkah too. Missed that earlier in the week.

Backlog Dec 21. Bottled 10/21/20. Dark brown body, with a medium, creamy, dark beige head. Aroma with lots of maple, lots of spices, chocolate, honey, cocoa, some lactose. Tastes quite similar, while a bit less sweet, with more lactose, slightly boozy. Medium, a bit creamy body, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes medium sweet, moderate roasty, warm, spicy, with maple, cocoa, some honey. 7 / 4 / 7 / 4 / 15

Can brought from the USA by Chris, thanks! Dark black, small but cute light tan head. Spicy nose (cardamom?) with Aunt Jemima syrup. Flavor is mapley, cinnamon, cacao, not too sweet for 9%. The herbal notes, earthy hops, and roasted malts balance the sweetness. A bit too herbal for my taste, but good for sharing.

Pint can thanks to hershiser2! 1/14/21. Thanks AZ for being the reason I can make this one the one the puts me over the top for Virginia. Well, at least for now. Big wave of maple as soon as I open the can. Black, large brown head, good retention. Aroma of maple, ginger, roast. Taste is roast, soy, ginger, spice, maple. Medium-full bodied, decent balance, low carb. Good GBS variant. Maple is close to being overdone but it works. Overall pretty nice.

Can (10/29/20) pour from share with AirForceHops--thanks Chris! Appearance is opaque black with no discernible sparkle, thin ring of khaki head and no lacing. Aroma is strong dominant maple syrup over gingerbread and roasted malt. Taste is strong maple syrup and gingerbread over roasted malt backbone. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation, nice mild alcohol warmth and finish as taste. Overall, good balance between the maple and the gingerbread though malts are a bit lower in the mix than the base stout. Nice.
