Crisp, light, very quaffable

Can from a supermarket in Kos. Sweet grainy malts with only a little bittering hops. Too sweet, lacks crispness.

0,33 € at a small shop at Rethymno harbour. BB 07/2025. Dark golden in the glass, small short living white head. Sweet caramel aroma with some grain. Taste has also a lot of caramel, hints of diacetyl, increasing bitterness. Below average carbonation.

Standard pale lager likely designed for tourism in Crete, from the largest brewery on the island. Can from a supermarket in Agia Galini. Snow white, rather thin and loose, opening head, clear pure golden robe without any visible sparkling. Aroma of dry crackers, iron, gypsum, a hint of old tea bags, brown paper, soggy breakfast cereals, rubber. Neutral onset with sharp minerally carbonation effect distracting from whatever little flavour is there, slick grainy middle with a sweetish malt syrup edge; carbon dioxide numbs the tongue, but some lightly grassy hops do provide a brief moment of volatile bitterness in the finish, while metallic and vaguely rubbery aspects linger as well. Dull even for its genre, which by its very nature excels in dullness. Opt for Eza Pilsner instead - if nothing better is available.

Can at hotel room Sissi, Crete, Greece, shared with Laura. Clear golden color, white head. Smell and taste malts, slightly hayish sweet, lightly hayish bitter in the distance. Quite pleasant soft carbonation and decent body. Not bad.

Can. Malty aroma and taste, grainy notes, light oxidation medium bitter. Light to medium body, malty bitter finish. Average.

Can. Pours clear golden with airy white head. Weak aroma of yeast, with malty notes and touches of hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour with sweetish notes of bread, malt and yeast. Estery and metallic aftertaste with touches of malt. Well, drinkable but not particularly pleasant.

Can, 5%. Lagery aroma with overripe fruit and malt syrup notes. Clear golden colour. Unstable white head. The flavour also has some malt syrup, but at least more pleasant than the aroma. Medium bitterness, slightly rough. Some grainy bitterness in the finish.
