440ml from Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a short-lived, fizzy tan head. The flavour is roasty malt, hazelnut and big peanut butter. The flavour is over moderate sweet and liqourice bitter, with a smooth, rich, oily, nutty, peanut butter, chocolate, warm alcohol, liqourice bitter palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

440ml can from Chez Sophie. Pours a viscous oily black with a menacing brown head. Big aroma bringing to mind all kinds of dark layered malt, rich chocolate brownie and peanut butter. Thick, intense and full on from the outside.. unctious desert-like profile with caramel chocolate, rich decadent cake.. dark malt layers.. peanut butter . the works! Serious stuff this.

16/12/2022. Can from Hopsters, Ipswich shared with Travlr. 12.5% abv (UT suggests this is a 2022 version). Pours black with a small frothy off-white to beige head. Aroma is chocolate, cocoa, peanut butter, toffee, vanilla fudge, raspberry jelly. Sweet with light roasted bitterness. Rich, full bodied, low carbonation. Very nice finisher for was a great day. 8485-17.42 25/3/2023. Can from Craft Metropolis, Penge. Shared at SBGP1. Earlier 11.0% abv version. Pours black with a small frothy tan coloured head. Aroma of dark chocolate, peanut, nougat, roasted malt, light ash. Moderate sweetness, with fairly heavy bitterness with was quite unlike the 2022 version. Medium to full bodied, sticky, soft carbonation. Rich finish. Enjoyed it but the later version at 12.5% shades it. 9384-17.41
