Can. A dark auburn colored beer topped by a two-finger beige head. Some lacing. The aroma has lots of caramel and dark bread crust, with toffee, nuts, some prunes and dark chocolate. It's full-bodied and nicely carbonated, semi-dry, with lots of malty flavors. Toffee, dark chocolate, nuts, dark bread and some prunes in the flavor. Lightly burnt and quite roasted. Lasting finish. Quite nice this one, tasteful and bock-ish. 211231

8-5-8-4-16 Can, #374, 4,5 months after canning. Pours very dark maroon, with a very big mocha head. Aroma is slightly burned malty notes with bread and dark chocolate, as well as some herbal notes. Full, creamy body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is dark fruity malts with bread, caramel and liquorice, as well as herbs, spices and nutty notes. Dark chocolate and earthy minerals in a lingering sweetish, balanced finish.

330ml black can, #374, bought at Vinmonopolet Tromsø Sentrum. Firm beige head resting over a deep black body with a ruby shade, clingy lacing. Inviting aromas of roasted bread and chocolate malts. Comprehensive taste character of smooth chocolate, bread and developing citrus peels towards a lingering finish. Full bodied. Very nice, enjoyed for a long time looking at the decorated Christmas tree. (Tromsø 22.12.2021).

Min hemmelige julekalender er sprettet (i all hemmelighet, naturligvis), og denne 0,33 boksen er fra julenissens statlige verksted i Lars Hertervigs gate og deles nå litt egoistisk kun med meg selv: mørkebrun kastanjefarge og fint skum som varer. Ristet brød, ristede hasselnøtter, mørke karamellsjokolader og andre velgjørende inntrykk for kropp og sjel. Mild bitterhet i avslutningen. Balansekunst og nok et bevis på at Salikatt behersker mange stilarter, et kjærkomment tilskudd til deres repertoar. Nov-22: et kjærkomment gjensyn, og årets versjon holder fanen høyt hevet!

Deep dark nutty pour and a small tan layer on top Ok intensity in the aroma Tad sweet and an bitterness to back it up Also a fine mellow carbonation level. Easy to drink Bready, dried fruits and toffee in the flavor [Can from Vinmonopolet Amfi Borg in Sarpsborg, Norway]
