By definition, Christmas beers should be dark and strong. With Nøgne Ø Grønn Jul we have dared to brew a light and hoppy beer. A rich, hazy IPA with large amounts of Cascade, Vic Secret and Citra hops added after boiling and in the fermentation vessel.

Draught @ SKAAL Sønderborg. Pours cloudy amber with airy white head. Clear aroma of hops, with notes of fruit and malt, and touches of citrus. Bitter flavour of hops and citrus, with sweetish notes of yeast and malt, and round, fruity touches. Bitter and citric aftertaste with estery and malty touches. Decent.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is hoppy with pine needles, spruce, citrus, notes of grapefruit and orange. Flavour is medium bitter with a light sweetness. Medium body. A true pine cone IPA, still balanced with the hops.
