12 oz. bottle, pours a clear dark amber with a small beige head. Nose brings out oxidation, brewery malt, a litre syrup, and caramel. Flavour is very malty, with caramel, light maple syrup, bready malt. Not getting the barrels. Simple beer, somewhat oxidized. It's alright.

Small off-white rim; fully muddy reddish brown beer. Sweetish nose, X-mas cake, portwine/madeira/raisins, maple syrup, vineleaves. Bit of oak galls suggested. Drier than the nose suggested, but also less distinctive. Again oakgalls, waffle syrup, x-mas cake, portwine. Very slick, alcoholwarming, bit chilli-like heat. Quite good, if sweet. Thanks to whomever brought it along!

Pours clear, dark brown. Small to no white head. Smell is sweet, nutty, brown malts. Taste is full, sweet, nutty, maple syrup is very hidden. Decent for sure. Perhaps a bit grainy, boozy in the finish.

Bottle, deep copper color with a small thin beige head. Light carmelized malt flavors and aromas. Very faint maple and softly bittered. Smooth and deceptive for 10% +

Leighton’s flat clearance. Thanks to Leighton. Clear amber beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is smooth and soft, very mild carbonation. Soft smooth malts, little malt cream. Modest and sweetish dried fruits. Smooth and warming finish. Not bad, but lacks maturity.

12oz bottle pours out a rich copper color capped off with a small, tight beige head. Aroma is fairly complex, lots of elements here, kind of sweet with the maple notes kicking in. Taste brings in the rich malt background, more maple syrup , some butterscotch and toffee. A bit sweet and hides the ABV well.
