This dark mahogany ale has a great and delicious malt depth, yet is balanced with supple, energizing bitterness.

Dark brown. Bubbly head. On the nose, a light chocolate note, There's a bitter, smoky character, a sweet dark sugar accent...more complexity than what's on the nose.

16 oz. can, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is dry, with oats, earthy notes and toasted malt. Flavour is fairly robust and bitter, with toasted malt, light earth and bitterness on the finish. Dry and robust, with a nice body. Very good.

Can from Craig, Thanks for the opportunity! Thick inky black with a creamy tan head. Roasty as hell with bits of earthy hops and hints of smoke. Creamy mouth feels like a much bigger beer, not bad.

16 oz can shared by DCLawyer, thanks Jason! Dark brownish black with light tan head. Aromas of caramel, roasty notes, wood. Tastes of hoppy notes, floral, roast. Medium body with a dry finish. Seems like a bit too much on the hops.

Can into a wineglass showing pitch black center and half a finger of latte colored foam. The nose shows roasted malts with a light Belgian yeast influence. The palate is light bodied and well carbonated. Strong burnt notes throughout and a very coffee mild tartness. Finish is more burnt malt.
