A dark brown stout with a thick frothy lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with light caramel, light mocha coffee, pleasant. In mouth, a nice chocolate malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, nice and surprising. Can from 7-11, Air Itam, Penang.

(Can) Pours black with reasonable tan head. Pleasant aroma - dark roast malts, coffee with hints of ginger and lemon - all a bit subtle really. Nice mouthfeel, medium bodied, smooth and creamy. Taste is much better than I was expecting, in fact it's pretty good. The typical stout tastes are there but downplayed and softened a bit, so there's a balance of dark malts, dark toffee and burnt sugar bitterness. There's also some vanilla, and hints of ginger and maybe lemon(grass). Surprisingly nice.

Can from Cold Storage, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy, long-lasting light tan head. The aroma is sweet malts, aromatic spices, ginger, and lemongrass. The flavour is moderate sweet with a dry malt, light roasty, iqourice, spicy lemongrass palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. I didn’t mind this too much I have to say. Not the worst beer I’ve had from this part of the world.

33cl can from Antarabangsa, Penang I haven’t got a glass so I’ll have to d the best I can. Clear deep amber pour. Quite herbal in the aftertaste but not overpowering. I’ll stick to the foreign stout.
