Euro2-Flasche: Deep chestnut-amber coloured, hazy, medium-sized and pretty stable off-white head; sweetish caramelly-wheaty nose with a sourish-yeasty background, shy nutty traces detectable, first traces of infection as well; moderate to solid sweetish-sourish flavour, medium bodied, neither harsh nor soft; slightly lingefing sweet-caramelly and yeasty sourish finish. Has to be consumed quickly, first traces of infection already detectable...

(bottle) Cloudy, murky brown colour with a beige and loose foamy head. Yeasty, slightly dusty and dark malty aroma with a touch of wheat, ripe bananas and clovy spice. Moderately sweet and delicately tart flavour, medium bodied with a slightly sharp carbonation. Dark malty and slightly wheaty base with fruity notes of banana, dark and red berries, also traces of chocolate; moderately sweet and delicately sour-tart and berry-fruity finish with a whiff of alcohol shining through. Okay, but surely not my favourite Weizenbock. 21.XII.16

Pours a brown color. Aroma is fruity with yeast, Taste is light bitter with bananas and fruits.

Trübes dunkel orangebraunes Weizen mit einer ordentlichen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach reifen Früchten, Kräutern, leicht hefig. A hazy orange brown beer with a big beige head. Aroma of ripe banana, yeast and clove. Taste of ripe mid sweet banana, caramel, clove, phenols.

Dark brown. Beige head. Aroma of horse blanket, toffee, coriander and herbs. Sour taste and aftertaste.

Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting. Dark brown to ruby colour. The aroma has some fruit, malts and dust, moderate notes of banana and cloves.
The flavour has a slight fruity acidity, some dark malts, moderate banana and cloves.

Vi har slappet litt av på tempo men er innstilt på å ta igjen det forsømte denne aprilkvelden på Sgmunds hytte. Flott skum, og her har både aroma og smak weizenbockpreg med banan, nellik og krydder. (I motsetning til Svaneke Hamsi). Lett syrlig. Skummet varer og varer. Hadde nok vært bedre fersk (bb. 270314).

Sehr schöne dunkle Farbe, voller süffiger Geruch!! Cremiger Schaum, der Antrunk ist vollmundig, leicht säuerlich, aber klasse hefig-süßlich, vollmundig-malzig!! Der Hauptteil breitet sich toll im Mund aus, lang anhaltender und intensiver Nachgeschmack!! Anklänge an Birne, Toffee, Vollmilchschokolade! Ein richtig toller Weizenbock!! The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also, nice head. Darker than exspected. Starts dry, modest yeasty, not very fruity. The finish is a bit moldy and scratchy. Strange, but good weizenbock!
