Bottle from Beers of Europe. Dark red colour with brief off-white head, no retention. Aroma and taste of light sweet malts, some toffee, and hint of dark fruits. Light bodied, nice zing to the carbonation, dry light tangy finish.

The original Hook Norton Mild (later Best Mild) was OG 1032 so I guess that could be equivalent to 2.8%

Cask at Trumpet, Evesham (not listed in RateBeer) Pours a very dark reddish brown with a generous cream head and good lacing. Nose is malty sweetness. In the mouth, mainly caramel and malt with some chocolate and hints of nuts. Finish is undistinguished. A nice session beer, but not much more

Cask at Nags Head. Half-pint shared with Finn. Creamy beige head blanketing the glass. A deep ruby glint to a dark body. Moderate mid-sweet malty nose, roasted. Tasting notes of caramel, earth, and liquorice. Hints of roasted malts to a short-lived finish. Decent mild considering the low abv. (Great Malvern 01.02.2020).

3/8/2019. Bottle at the Wrocław Grand Prix bottle share, from Beers of Europe. Pours clear very dark amber with an average size off-white head. Aroma of light roasted malt, milk chocolate, caramel, fruit and lactose. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Light o moderate body, slight oily and watery texture, soft carbonation. Light aniseed to finish. Not bad especially considering it's abv.
