Rocky white head left a spotty cover on an unclear pale amber coloured body. Malt & fruity aroma. Medium bodied, with a lively back. Malt, caramel, English hops & bitter citrussy tastes with a pine & grapefruit finish. It's good.

Cask @ Percy Shaw, Halifax. Clear golden with a creamy head. Has a hoppy mix that provides for an initial herbal-like aroma and taste leading to a bitterness later on.

[50cl bottle from Morrison's, Festival Park, Stoke.] A very pale amber pour with a fast fading white head and gentle carbonation; biscuity aroma with some honey; fresh summer fruit taste with strawberries and raspberries balanced by some sour grains and a lingering grassy bitterness. A pleasant change from the average golden ale.

Cask-conditioned at the WG Grace (JDW), Bristol 29 October 2021. Pale gold in colour with a slight, off-white, head. Light citrus hops, some tangerine and apricot fruit character, rich tea malts leading to dryish finish. A very drinkable session beer and my favourite of this particular JDW festival.

Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours a golden yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Not much of an aroma – just some hints of oranges. In contrast the mouthfeel has an immediate crisp sharpness with floral hops and berry fruits plus traces of citrus. The hops gradually progress into the traditional variety, and the finish is dry and bitter. This is a very nice hop forward beer that doesn’t overdo it.

Bottle from The Farm Shop, M5 Gloucester Services. Pours a clear golden colour with a thinnish throthy white head. Aromas of floral hops and biscuits. Taste has more floral notes, a touch of peach with a citrus pithy bitterness on the finish. Medium body and smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Nice if maybe a little too bitter for me personally.
