Backlog. Pours amber gold and smells of oak, resin, fruity hops, and booze. The flavor is moderately bitter with rum and lots of oak along with hop resin and subdued fruit. Very good.

Bottle from 4-pack wood thingy. slightly hazy yellow, smooth offwhite head. Looks quite nice. sweet hoppy and malty aroma, notes of pineapple and rum, complex and pleasing aroma. faint dusty note. This bottle is 2018 release, tasted late 2020. Flavor is strong and bitter dipa with an added note of rum booziness. some wood, quite nice wood, almost ceder sweetness, but the rum bitterness tilts the beer off balance imo. Decent double ipa ish flavor, add some complex wood notes, and ruin it a bit with a dash of rum. Still very tasty and if i had it offered on tap and felt like a double ipa i would def. buy one.

A barley wine no doubt. Maybe the hops dropping out has let the rum barrels shine through and give it tis impression. But it’s very good. Clean and full flavoured. Online saveur bier

Rummi overload lõhnas. Maitses on tamme, magusust, rummi on ka, humalat, tsitrust, puuvilju jms. Võiks öelda, et veider, aga täitsa mõnsa.

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours hazy brown, not attractive, lots of yeast in suspension, I guess. Aroma is rich, aromatic, of dried fruits, raisin, figs, nuts. The time spent of rum barrels is evident. Body is not thick, but oily. Carbonation is moderate. Taste is medium-high bitter. Final is long and aromatic, alcoholic, oily.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 33B/22A). Bottle 35.5 cl - Batch 1819 6 (BBF unknown - Bottled on 06.05.18 - 2018 edition). AROMA: medium-high aroma of rum, oxidized malt (caramel-like), medium-low vinous character and a background of peppery alcohol. low background notes of oxidized hops (dried grass). APPEARANCE: light amber color and slightly hazy with particles in suspension. Medium off-white head, creamy, with good retention. lace formation. TASTE: initial medium malty flavor with an oxidized character (caramel-like), followed by medium rum notes, low oxidized hops and slight vanillin. medium bitterness with a dry and slightly bitter finish. PALATE: medium-high body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an enjoyable barrel aged DIPA where the barrel notes tend to be more prominent and the base beer start to fade. Maybe not the best style to age in a barrel.
