Finally, the picture-perfect scene is complete. Please welcome, Tangerine Trees: an Imperial Dry Hopped Sour. This beer follows some of the same rules as New England styles by chasing huge hop flavour with a fruity citrus flex. The juicy amplitude of this drip is amplified by orange zest, a move borrowed from another of Lucy’s own crown jewels. It’s definitely tangy, but only sweetly so—its blow softened by the style’s London-level fog.
This is the only brew in the LSD crew that has at least one thing in common with all of its counterparts. It’s got Marmalade’s zest, Kaleidoscope’s skyward ABV, and Cellophane’s dry-hop pucker-up. It might just be the glue that holds the whole band together one day.
We all get by with a little help from our friends, so grab some of yours and partake in a couple of pints at our taproom or crack cans from wherever—including a boat on a river or a bridge by a fountain. Sounds like a day in the life to us.
Malt: 2 Row, Flaked Oats, Flaked Wheat
Hops: Citra Incognito, Citra
Yeast: Escarpment Laboratories Foggy London
Tangerine: Dream

473ml can. Pours a hazy orange-yellow with a small, foamy, short lived, white head that laces. Sweet fruity aroma of biscuit malt, orange peel and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of biscuit malt, tangerine, orange peel and light piney hops in a dry, tart finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Juicy, refreshing and ABV is well hidden.
