We’re totally Frucht around here. In fact, we may just be filled to the brim, with excitement, that is. Our threshold is 250 BBLs, to be more precise. That’s the total capacity of each oak foeder at Bruery Terreux. One is dedicated exclusively to Frucht, our series of fruited Berliner Weisse-style beers. Known for a tart flavor profile and traditionally low ABV, our German-style wheat beer gains even more funky notes and natural earthy-woodiness from its fermentation in the large oak foeder vessel. Each installment in the series features a new fruit, or Frucht, if we’re Sprechen sie Deutsch.
This installment has raspberries added. Prost!

Bottle from the LCBO. Pours an opaque red, with orange hues, and a small white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is loaded with raspberry, and a solid lactic tartness, with some light citrus, and funk.
Mouthfeel is solid, slightly fuller than expected, with a standard carb. Finish is mouth puckering sour. One of the most sour beers ive had in a while with some lactic notes to round out the solid raspberry tones, and some soft sweetness in the end. Really enjoyable.

Bottle from Beerdome. Big tart raspberry aroma with tart red fruits and notes of raspberry jam. Flavour is very tart with a commanding puckering sourness and a dry finish. Body is light to medium. Not the most complex but lovely tart and sour raspberries, big puckering sourness. Very tasty.

A hazed orange red ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light raspberry jam, light acidity, light Brett, light lactic notes, candy floss, very nice. In mouth, a nice tart mix of lemon, raspberry jam, light acidity, very nice and puckering. Bottle from LCBO, a bit more than a year old.

Pours a hazy red-orange-pink colour with a head that disappears very quickly, leaving no lace. Some particles of different sizes floating around. Earthy, very sour nose with the raspberries in the background. The taste is very, very sour as well with mild tart in the finish, lingering mild yeast. The fruit is there as well, but milder and seems to be blended with vinegar. If this is how you like your dressing, you will love this.

375 from the RS, shared by Heather B, much thanks!! Aroma has a nice wonderful raspberry aroma. The flavor on the other hand is very tart and massively sour. Sharp pucker that hurts the taste buds. Difficult to drink.
