Blackberry Wheat Ale

A simple, clean malt bill featuring Alberta wheat and 2 row barley provides the perfect backdrop to a refreshingly tart explosion of blackberries and raspberries. Organic raspberries and blackberries provide authentic, acidic fruit flavour without overwhelming the palate with cloying sweetness

This fruit beer poured a hazy, amber/pink/orange colour with minimal head from pour. Nice lacing. Scents include blackberry jam, ripe fruit, raisins and a little toast. First swig was not bad, slightly sweet with flavours of blackberries and minimal hop bitterness. Finish is mildly bitter with jam flavours lingering.

A hazed pink ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light raspberry jam, light acidity, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity raspberry jam with light acidity, light fruity esters, pleasant. On tap at brewery.

473ml can. Pours a murky red-pink with a medium, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that laces. Sweet fruity aroma of bready wheat malt, raspberry, blackberry and earthy yeast. Sweet flavour of bready wheat malt, raspberry, blackberry, earthy yeast and floral hops in a dry, tart finish. Medium body with a soft, almost creamy texture and light to medium carbonation. Juicy and tasty. Well done.

On tap at Sea Change, pours a cloudy pinkish red with a small white head. Aroma is super fruity, with lots of fresh berries and a soft wheaty base. Flavour has a lot of soft berry notes upfront, dried out by the wheat. Simple but nicely fruity. Solid.
