Shipwreck is a true West Coast style, hop-forward IPA with a little down-under to it. Featuring a unique combination of northern and southern hemisphere hops, Shipwreck is balanced with stone fruit, citrus notes, and a decidedly refreshing finish.

This IPA poured a clear light yellow colour with a quick living head. Scents include pineapple, lemon and grass. First sip had medium carbonation with a good kick of hops. Flavours of citrus, spruce and grass could all be found. Finish was quite bitter with hop flavor lingering.

Can: Poured a deep amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some great lacing. Aroma of bitter and citrus hops notes is quite pleasant with some lightly sweet notes from the caramel malt. Taste is a good mix between some citrus hoppy notes with some notes of caramel malt which are sweeter then I would have liked. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Well brewed but a tad too much caramel malt and sweet for my own taste.

From the LCBO, in the BC Craft Brewers Guild Natural Selections 6-pack. Pours a clean rich golden with a big frothy off-white head, great retention and lots of foamy lace. Quite a beautiful head. Fresh grassy hops with some grapefruit and pine notes. Nice smooth bitterness with a little dryness. The grain is tasty and does balance out the hops. So, grass and cereal in the finish. A really like this one as not a hopbomb, not a macro IPA, but very well-blended to go down nicely, stay refreshing, but still be a real IPA.

Good IPA. Smells of super piney hops. Pours orange with great head and lacing. Finishes with some bitter grain and palate clearing mint. Far superior to their Beacon Hill. Lively carbonation. On tap at Garrick’s head.

Light amber color. Nice hoppy aroma, fruity and sweaty. Good toffee flavor, crisp, smooth, with strong hopping of excellent quality, with mild hop resins and fruity.
Very good.

***had it as Switchback*** grapefruit, nothing strong then segues into a peach syrup flavor. Strong biscuity malt upfront kind of overshadows the hops
