25th Feb 2009: Clear 500ml bottle, unable to find a best by date. The beer was poured into an ’Old Speckled Hen’ vase shaped pint glass. Dortmunder golden colour, a bright, bright, clear amber, very small wispy white head. If it had a decent head it would have looked great. Hops and yeast hit the nose, a sweetness from summer fruits also come into play. The sweetness follows into the taste, leaving the hops and yeast in a distant second place along with some maltiness. The 4.1% alcohol is hidden but the beer has a depth to it. Very little body, but there is something there that helps to keep the flavours strong during the aftertaste, which begins to dry as the taste weakens. Medium carbonisation, and not a bad beer apart from that poor head.

Aroma is grassy with a little citrus. Texture is a bit on the thin side. Refreshing flavour, quite light with a bit of zesty orange peel and a dry hoppy finish.
