(Can) Black colour with brief, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with fresh black coffee, dark chocolate, cacao, liquorice and vanilla. Malty, roasted taste with notes of fresh black coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice, vanilla, brown sugar, hints of treacle and a warming finish with a balanced coffee bitterness and a slight alcohol burn. Full body, quite sweet. Rich, powerful and warming, with a generous coffee presence. Very nice.

From a 473ml can on 18/11/2019. Pours near black with a big light tan head. Has a big chocolate/coffee/vanilla nose. Very dessertish upfront, with lots of milk chocolate, vanilla, brown sugar, and a bit of the promised nutmeg. Balanced by a slightly dry, roasty finish. The mouthfeel is slick and syrupy, the carbonation moderate. Drinks a bit bigger than its 10.3%. A massive, rich and quite complex slow sipper.
