Perhaps you first encountered this beer amidst the streets of the Habsburg capital, where it was created in the early twentieth century. Perhaps you have already savoured its perfect balance of malt and hops. And perhaps you have already been captivated by its copper colour, and seduced by fruity notes that intertwine with hints of nuts and caramel. Now, discover a smoothness that is natural, yet never excessive.

330 ml bottle. Dark golden body with a nice off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel and some citric fruity hops. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, toast and citric fruit with moderate bitterness. Pretty straight forward all the way. Not very exiting, the best part is the aroma.

Bottle. It pours a more or less clear body, golden in color and with a dense, off-white head. Butterscotch and some fruityness on the nose, some citrusy hints. Medium body, pleasant carbonation. Also the flavor has a distinct butterscotch, with fruityness and some citrus. A touch of bitterness too, towards the end. Certainly not my kind of beer, especially the butterscotch drives me away. 111123
