500ml bottle. Opalescent, amber colour with average, firm, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Leafy and floral hoppy aroma, pale and caramel malty background, hints of petals, a touch of black tea, Earl Grey tea, bergamot. Taste is slightly leafy and minimally floral hoppy, pale and caramel malty basis with low residual sweetness, hints of tea, Earl Grey tea, a touch of bergamot, petals.
Oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally greasy palate, fine, dense, soft, creamy carbonation.
Nice mouthfeel, nice leafy hop flavours - nice. Exactly!

19/7/2024. Cask at the 2024 Chelmsford Summer Beer & Cider Festival. 4.3% abv. Pours clear bright amber with a frothy pure white head. Aroma is fruity, orange, biscuit, malt, stone fruits, spicy hints. Medium sweetness, moderate but developing bitterness. Moderate body, oily, soft carbonation. Nice fruity bittersweet finish. Likeable. Seems to have improved post-Covid looking at previous ratings.

Hand-pulled pint in my local Wetherspoon's on 24th Jan 2020 (Burns Night tomorrow). Amber body with a creamy head in colour and texture, some good heavy lacing too. Strange taste, no real aroma; rough, earthy maltiness with a dry bitter feel along with a metallic twang.

Cock T. Cask. Clear gold, small bubbly head. Palate is smooth, fairly dry and has low carbonation. Dry malts, a little grain. Dry floralness. Modest citric peel. Dry finish. Standard stuff.

Cask at The Cock Taverna. It pours clear amber with a small bubbly head. The aroma is rich spiced character, earthy, toasted nut, wood, leather and cereal. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy, spice, leaves, bit of mature cheddar almost, caramel and wood with a drying finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Old skool ale, which has a pleasant spiced character. Not bad.
