Bottle. Pours a dark mahogany with no head. Aromas of toffee, raisins, sweet oaky booze and dry toasted malts. Flavors of sweet bourbon, caramel, raisins and toasted malts. Getting bourbon instead of red wine, but still very good.

Poured from 50cl bottle (from the fiulijnator cellar; side by side with Lune Riserva Teo Musso 2010). Clear-ish dark copper brown with no head. Earthy toffee, feint brown sugar, light vinous notes, a bit thin and slightly oxidized, but still enjoyable. Enjoy this over the Lune overall.

500ml shared by Alex @ Ryan's. Appearance: dark copper with no head. Aroma: heavier than a sister-beer Lune, dark fruits, brown sugar, some oak, caramel. Taste: along the same lines, also flat. Overall: good one.

50cl bottle from a shop in Ravenna, Italy. Pours elegant brown, with beautiful reflections, like a whiskey. No foam. Aroma is intense even from afar, of caramel and molasses, oxidation, dry fruits and figs, dry apricot, bourbon as well. Body is fairly thin, very smooth, with no carbonation at all. Taste is pretty sweet, though not excessive. Final is not particularly intense, actually it's kind of thin (at least for a beer of this caliber). In the final, though, a little bit of a vinous character comes out, providing elegance.

Bottle pour in Bologna: pours brown clear with no head. Aroma is booze, malts, earthy notes. Generally complex even if I cannot hit each note. Taste is more boozy than the kioke that I had previously. Less honey notes, but still a nice sweetness that melds with the mellow booziness. Rich.

(Bottle, vintage 2014) Hazy reddish brown colour, with brief bubbly head. Malty, fruity nose with caramel, dried fruit, black-currant, wild berries, hints of liquorice, lots of red wine and oak wood. Malty, fruity, vinous taste with notes of caramel, black-currant, blackberries, liquorice, spices, dried fruit, oak wood, red wine and a vinous finish with fairly low bitterness and and a certain red wine acidity. Full body, with a touch of sweetness. Rich and tasty, with lots of red wine and oak wood. Very nice.
