Bottle shared at home in self quarantine Corona World Tour 2020. Unclear amber with short lived white head. Sweet applejuice, pig farmers’ boots, wood, salami, blue cheese, sweet grape most, apple stems, pits, treebark, clay, rust, citrus peels, marmalade, onion peels, lots of funky poopy earthy tannins. Moderate sweet and bitter, more funk than dryness, almost herbal/spicy in the funky tones. Medium body and soft carbonation.

Pours unclear yellow, no head. smell is intense, crisp, cider like. Taste is intense, fruity, but not clearly pear. Crisp, almost' decent body and carbo. Way more taste than anticipated for.
Awesome! Balanced sweet/tart apples; some yeast earthy/funk/spiciness. Semisweet/crisp carb/refreshing finish. Great complexity.

Corked bottle from Caves Augé, bd. Haussmann, Paris
Vintage 2008, 1 year old
Cloudy orange-blond color, fine perlage, with some head retention. Fizzy aroma, with apples and light citrus fruits; sweet and fresh. Semi sweet cider, apple juice flavor, just a bit drier and more tannic at the end, but in a light manner. Less characteristic than other good French ciders, but well balanced and elegant.
