This straight-up Imperial Stout endures the ebb and flow of time bringing courage to a bleak winter. Caramel and burnt sugar on the nose lead to bittersweet chocolate, toasted bread and coffee all enveloped in a rich smooth mouthfeel. This Imperial Stout ends dry with light alcohol warmth to bring great fortitude.

330ml panda from LCB. Black with thin beige head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, coffee, light roast, hint of vanilla. Taste has a moreish rich quality to it with the same notes as aroma. Starts semi-sweet but the bitterness kicks in a long finish with some light herbal hops. Medium to full bodied. Enjoyable.

Tap @ Cardinal. Black body under a small but dense beige head. Nice lacings. Aroma has dark roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and a faint hint of bacon. Taste is sweet, roasted dark malt, coffee, dark chocolate, leather and hint of tobacco. Balanced bitterness. Fine body with long lasting aftertaste. Nice and tasty, quite straightforward well made stout.
