This Kveik Rye IPA results from some New Zealand hops getting stuck in customs on their way to the polish brewery Pinta. Luckily, we, being located outside the EU, could collect them instead. We liked the NZ hops so much that we wanted to make collab together with Pinta to honor the Hop Detour. The beer really has everything you want from a juicy kveik IPA; tremendous amounts of Nelson Sauvin, Mosaic, Cryo loral, Rye and to top it all off, it’s brewed with Norwegian Kveik Yeast from Voss.

KYGG 130222. Golden-yellow color with a white head.Aroma is pine, citrus, malt, grass. Flavor is pine, grass, citrus, malt, grass, tropical fruit, kveik, oranges, rye, yeast. Nice beer.

Can. It pours an unclear orange-yellow colored body under a small white head. Super-citrusy and piney aroma with some notes of pale malts. Grass, flower hints and some melon. It's full-bodied and dry on the palate, decently bitter, with a light bitterness. Grapefruit, melon and grape hints, a good dash of pine cones and some lemon zest. Long finish. A bit gentle sort of, but quite nice anyway. Refreshing. 220213

Pours a very hazed amber (lightly), blonde. Medium foam fades fast. Scent is thick, creamy, yellow fruits. Not very fresh & Vibrant. Taste is surprisingly dry, sharp and bitter. Peppery, phenolic. Bit boring, not very smooth either.

330ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Fluffy white head with good retention, cloudy pale golden body, spotty lacing. Inviting grapefruit nose. Well blended flavour character of bread, lemon, and grapefruit, integrated kveik yeast. Piney, dry bitter finish. Fine depth, long-lived. Likable. (Tromsø 04.02.2022).
