Vollmundiger säuerlicher Antrunk mit trockenem, mild herben Noten. Weich, angenehm bitter, spritzig. Trockene dumpfe Hopfigkeit, zum Ende deutlich holzig. Langer, weich säuerlicher Nachhall. 11/12/12/12//12
Earlier Rating: 6/3/2011 Total Score: 2.3
Hopfig-säuerlicher Antrunk, der mit seinen Beinoten aber angenehm ausfällt. Wenig frisch, fast laff. Im Verlauf wird die Säuerlichkeit fast unwichtig, der muffige Hopfen stärker. /8/6/6//7

Tap at Grote Dorst. Hazy dark golden color with no head. Aroma is burnt bread, wood, not so much funk. Taste is burnt bread, some milky yeasts. Oily mouthfeel. Flat. Okay, probably one of the last pours of the bag, but still: it showcases the 3 Fonteinen character. 7-3-7-3-14. Assemblage at the Lambik-O-Droom. Hazy orange color with soapy bubbles. Aroma is funky. Taste is funky, with quite some residual sugars, apples and candy. Flat. Very interesting. 7-4-7-4-15

(On cask @ 3 Fonteinen Restaurant, Beersel, Nov 14 2015) Pours lightly hazed medium gold with no head. Aroma is pretty soft, lemony hints, very light barnyard, not much really. The flavour is much more powerful with an initial soft acidic lemon zest character, slightly buttery or creamy oak, light pit fruit, smooth. Transitions to an oak dominated finish with hay, dried herbs, a bit of horse blanket, citrus zest. Astringent finish. Fairly light bodied, very light carbonation. 3F character for sure! The nose on this was a real letdown, but the flavour made up for it. Not wildly funky, good balance for an unblended lambic.

Tap at the brewery, free sample, thanks! Clear golden with a few little bubbles on top. Light sour grains, flowers, bitter wood with a touch of vanilla, dry white wine, leafy raw vegetable nots and soft weeds. Taste is light to medium sour and light bitter. Under medium bodied with dry feel and low but sparkly carbonation. Light and fresh, surprisingly complex. I could drink this all day ( not good idea as it is now only 11). Maybe a tiny bit more bitter than I’d like, but very nice stuff.
