can. clear brown, light brown head. aroma is kind of flowery, perhaps light caramelly, fruity ish, not at all imperial stoutish. underneath the fruity perhaps citrussy notes i do get some hard roasted malts. not that much alc. super weird aroma for an imp. stout. Sometimes i get this, or something like this, if they are infected, but it poured really well and i would not suspect infection from a top class brewery.flavor is sweet roasted malts, caramel, coffee, end is more bitter with hard roasted malts kicking in, notes from wood , very rounded and balanced, and quite complex. no hit in any way of infection or the sour notes - it's so so strange. flavor is real good, a dry non sweet imp stout with lots of character and depth. also fainter notes of vanilla and malt candy.

Can 33 cl. Again a thick and sugary pour - this time like licorice syrup - with a lacing, beige head. Sweet licorice more than roast in the nose. Rich, fat body, quite some licorice syrup before a solid dose of bittering hops in the finish. Hops still potent although drowned in syrup. Solid beer. 130921

Can. It's a black on, topped by a dense finger-thick beige head. Cute lacing. The aroma is rather meaty, with molasses, burnt malts, some spiced and herbal hints and roasted malts. It's full-bodied, really powerful, still soft, with a light sweetness challenging an overpowering dryness. Burnt malts, molasses, herbal hops and a quite meaty touch in the flavor. Lasting finish with as much intensity as the aroma and initial flavor. Perhaps a bit much on the intense side, but sure a fine brew. A can is easily serving two. 210717
