Bottle shared by Johnny. Opaque black color, small dark brown colored head. Smell and taste malts, some roast, heavy coffee, cocoa, whiskey, rye whiskey? Absolutely delicious. Thick texture, full body, suitable low to average carbonation. Lovely, absolutely lovely.

Good, if rougher than expected, with a gooey chocolate center surrounded by date, cherry, caramel, molasses, and, strangely enough, black pepper. Coffee only comes through deep into the finish; java notes have probably been dulled by ten months in the basement, but still I expect more than what is provided. Not terribly different than plain ol' Noir, to be honest. The whiskey's present without being intrusive or aggressive, the oak adds a hint of woody bite on the finish, and the fade gives off a comfortable warmth. Good, but not a classic.

An Oxford tasting
Black color. Strong aroma of green peppers, some spices and coffee too. Compared to other Prairie releases thios one has less body, also because the alcohol is very strong; roasted malts, coffee, and still some green pepper; burning finish.
I like it, but it's very unbalanced.

Sample at MBCC 2018. Poured almost black with a bubbly round tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, toffee caramel, chocolate, coffee, vanilla. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet with a silky smooth, rich, roasty, chocolate coffee, light boozy alcohol palate. Full to medium bodied with flat carbonation.

355ml bottle (thx, Rick P.!) shared at Alex's. Vintage 2016. Pours a very dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma is green pepper (damn coffee farewell party). Taste is very sweet, with green pepper ane coffee notes along with chocolate and bourbon. I wish there is no green pepper, but it is still nice.

Coffee and roast. Better than the regular noir - extra cpffee balances out barrel. Black oily consistency like Scott Pruitt's blood. Sweet finish. Tap at Churchkey.
