Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown colour with an everlasting bubbly tan head. The aroma is smoky roasted malt. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, roasty, earthy, liqourice, light chocolate, light citrus hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at the Sutton Arms - London. Pours deep brown, clear, with a frothy, beige head. Light-medium sweet flavour with sturdy roast, cocoa, ash, burnt pine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Balanced finish, more cocoa, pine, earth and cocoa. Sound.

Can at home picke dup from Siren online. A dark black brown coloured pour wih a decent mid tan head. Aroma is nice robust roast, sticky liquorice, sappy pine, nutty roast. Flavour is composed of big robust bitter roast, black liquorice, bark, pine sap, . Really nice hoppy robust porter. Reminds me a lot of a kernel offering. Palate is medium bodied, resinous hop, highish carbonation. Splendid.
