Till 2015 brewed at De Scheldebrouwerij. After that at Anders! Untill (date unknown) , now at Beerselect.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 12/2014.

33 cl. bottle @ home. BBF 12/2014. According to the bottle: “Brewery “De Lelie” was located in Vosselaar on the Cingel next to the church. The company was founded in 1907 and taken over in 1922 by the brewer Jan Dresselaers. Latter his son Rene succeeded his father. They brewed quality beers of high fermentation of which “Pater” and “Paus” were the best known. In 1952 the production was stopped.” It appears that a local VZW (same name as the previous brewery) decided to restart the production of these beers and they are being contract brewed now by Scheldebrouwerij. The beer pours a bright apple Champagne golden with a creamy and stable white head. Surprisingly hoppy nose, citrus, creamy, almost sweet cornflakes in a good way, fruity yeast,… Taste is bitter, floral, hop forward, white pepper, thin yeast, almost saison-yeast, sweetness coupled, sugar, peel with some fruitiness, moderate alcohol… Lightly creamy and well carbonated – actually reminds me of the recent Delhaize Xtreme Hop series but much better. Lovely beer.

Bottle: Golden, cloudy with floaties, impressive rocky and very stable off - white head, sweetish and also tart orangey-zesty nose, distinctive traces of yeast detectable; moderate to solid sweet-tart flavour, mediim to full bodied, quite a creamy MF; a slight alcohol-burn (brandy-like) shows up in the tart zesty-bitter finish. A nice one…

Bottled 750ml (PBF, BB 12/2010)
Hazy orange color, small steady white head, lace. White peppery, Saison yeasty aroma. Medium-bodied. Fruity, peppery, cardboardish, hayish. Quite good Saison-like Belgian strong. Maybe would be even better when fresh.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Fresh and slightly yeasty citrus-fruity aroma with notes of pale malt, white bread, as well as peppery spicy and slightly floral notes. Moderately sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a present carbonation. Slightly bready pale malt character with notes of citrus, zests and spicy notes of pepper; sweet and slightly sour finish with notes of alcohol shining through. Likeable. 22.III.11
