Pretty rich malt base holds very well balance with 45 ibu wort of bitter hop dosage. On the hot side we used some very traditional German hops, but we finished the beer with dry hopping of some wonderful Loral hops.
Bright golden colour. Delicately fruity, floral, fresh bread and just a touch of herbal aromas. In the taste there is first a round sweet malty flavour that merges with slightly fruity hops, finish is pleasantly bitter that calls for next sip.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is grainy malt, straw, grassy/herbal noble hops. Hint of lemongrass, herbal finish. Flavour is moderate bitter with a little sweetness. Light to medium body. Crisp Pils with a nice herbal/grassy bittering hop profile.

Blik 50cl thuis. Bloemig, droog, grassig, hoppig, bitter, malttonen, zoeten, wat honing, citrus, licht würzig. (9-12-2022).

Pale yellow, frothy white head. Smells floral, crisp, light. Fairly thick body for the 4.2%, but still light enough to be quaffable. Some light sweet maltyness, but definitely hoppy forward. Herbal first of all, with some light floral notes. Not bad!

Can, 0.50l. Aroma is citrusy, grainy,l and herbal. Pours clear pale golden color with large soapy white head, good lacing and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts light sweet grainy and citrusy, following is herbal, bready and slightly medicinal, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is average bitter. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Ready to rumble with a bumble bee…

Can shared at Kingsday Tasting 2022. Clear pale golden color, white to off-white head. Aroma and flavor are lightly malts, straw / hay, hayish bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Okayish.

Mein erstes Bevog-Bier mit einem Insekt als Darsteller: Für diese nordamerikanische Hummelart fand ich keinen deutschen Namen, aber man findet Infos unter der lateinischen Bezeichnung Bombus affinis. Einstmals weit verbreitet, ist das Insekt nun schwer gefährdet. Das Bier wird als Italian Pils verkauft, wobei ich noch nie diese Bezeichnung gehört habe. Wenn man den Erklärungen glaubt, so ist es ein besonders spritziges, weniger bitteres Pils. Das trifft es auch ganz gut. Dazu ein paar schöne florale Töne und man hat ein wirklich schönes Bierchen.

Can via Drinkshop. Thin body, med-high carbonation. Soft grainy maltiness, low sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate herbal grasy hops character, a bit earthy. Overall really clean, easy drinking, very good.
