(Draught at Het Lagerhuys, Amsterdam, 4 May 2022) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, coffee and cacao. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, chocolate, cacao, dark bread and a balanced coffee bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well made imperial stout, with lots of coffee and cacao. Very nice.

Foam comes slowly gushing out of the can. Pours a black colour and a dense brown head with reasonable retention Aroma's of roasted coffee, roasted malts, light sweet, a bit berries, light umami. Retronasal: sweetish, hard-roasted, coffee, light berry-sourness. Flavour is above moderate sweet with roasted bitterness and a tad bit sour. Medium bodied. Long finish full of roast, firmly bitter.

17/III/22 - 33cl can @ home, BB: 9/II/27, canned: 9/II/22, batch 2022002 (2022-258) Thanks to ElManana+1 for sharing the can!

Clear dark brown beer, big creamy irregular beige head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: oh that’s a lot of coffee all right, malty, earthy, a bit nutty, some peanuts, nice roast, alcohol, more coffee, pretty nice and complex. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body, creamy texture, nice! Taste: sweet malty start, caramel, some chocolate, bitter coffee notes. Aftertaste: sweetness again, alcohol, nice roast, chocolate and caramel, some vanilla, more chocolate still, alcohol is very noticeable, nice one. Not as much coffee as I had feared.
