Tuckerman Brewing Co.’s flagship beer. Our interpretation of an American style Pale Ale, it is brewed using English and Belgian specialty malts and four different domestic whole hops. It is dry hopped and bottle conditioned, creating a beer with a strong malt character and a floral yet spicy hop quality. Tuckerman Pale Ale will be available year round. Currently, it is our introductory beer and is our only brew available.

Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy sun-colored orange with a decent looking glowing white color near to the top of the beer. There was a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute with a decent light lacing.
The smell had a blend between floral and spicy notes.
The taste was slightly floral and spicy.
On the palate, this one sat fairly light and showed a decent sessionability about it.
Overall, I’ve actually had this several times and personally I used to love to have this with some BBQ in the Summers back in Maine.

On tap at the Holiday Inn, Portsmouth, NH. An attractive golden amber pour with a thin white head; perfumed aroma; light biscuity malt taste; and a soft fruity finish. Quite refined and elegant for an APA.

Bottle. Very light biscuity malt and citrus aroma. Hazy straw gold with a large off-white head. Fruity biscuit malt and light grassy bitter flavor. Light body, soft carbonation. Easy drinking, but rather bland.

Clear gold with a cottony white head. Light fruit, caramel aroma. Taste is sweet, mild caramel with a slightly fruity bittering. Very smooth. Not bad.

Pours a clear golden amber with a huge bubbly off white head that slowly recedes and leaves a moderate amount of lace. Smells of earthy and floral hops, biscuity almost pilsner like malt aroma, with hints of citrus. Taste follow the nose fairly well, biscuity almost honey sweet malt with earthy citrus and floral hops to counter. Medium thin body with a bready sweet watery mouthfeel and a moderate to high level of carbonation. This is a really nice pale ale for 1998, but kind of pedestrian by today’s standards. Well made, nothing objectionable, but nothing really exciting here either. Kudos for bottle conditioning though!

On tap @ The Page, Portsmouth, NH Color was a pale yellow color, small layer of white head, nearly no lacing. Light grapefruit on the nose. Taste was of malt and slight grapefruit hops. No bitterness at all, which I like a lot. High carbonation the left the mouth dry on the finish. Even with the dry finish it leaves you thirsting for more. Easy drinker. I could drink large amounts of this and feel no shame.
