Pick Your Own begins as a sour red ale that’s aged in an oak foudre with Lactobacillus and Pediococcus for two years. After adding fresh, local raspberries, cherries, strawberries, and blueberries, we age it for an additional three months. The finished beer is a vibrant, ruby red with an aroma of ripe berries and vanilla. As you might expect, berries fill the flavor. Pick Your Own finishes dry with notes of bread crust and a lingering, tart juiciness.

A reddish raspberry jam with thin light pink white head. In aroma, nice raspberry jam with light Brett, light lactic notes, light acidity, very nice and fruity. In mouth, a nice raspberry jam with light acidity, light Brett, light cough syrup (but nice), very nice and balanced. Cask Days 2018.

Bottle from Bert's Slightly hazy dark pink with a bubbly white head that quickly recedes. Tart and puckering flavor and aroma with a beautiful mixed fruit component that hits this one out of the park. Beautiful beer.

375 c&c shared by Marcus. Pours cherry red with a pink tinged beige head. Aromas of raspberry and cherry. Med body. Flavor is mostly tart raspberry, but I think I can get strawberry and maybe cherry. Berry juicy. Not entirely dry. Very enjoyable. Sort of a breadily astringent finish.

Bottle from the source. Paired with Blackberry Red Wine donut from Moms. Fruit in both are complementary and the tannins in the beer reflect the red wine. The group's second favorite pairing of the evening. Also the group's favorite beer, softly sour with tannins and mixed forest berries.

On tap at the Ginger Man, pours a hazy dark mahogany with a small white head. Aroma brings out lightly tart berries, with farmhouse yeast, and a touch of brett. Flavour is very complex, with lots of tart red berries, some wild yeast and a bit of balsamic. Wonderful use of berries. Fantastic.
