On tap at Mockery, pours a hazy dark amber mahogany with a small white head. Aroma brings out moderate salt, caramel and bready malt. Flavour is quite salty, with moderate caramel, medium sweetness and a hint of smoke. Finishes salty and smoky. Very good stuff.

Salted scotch ale 5.8% A great amber brown with an oatmeal Graham biscuit aroma. Tasty malt forward honey biscuit and mild oak flavor. Great bready stuff which I enjoyed quite a bit.

Sample at the tap room. Clear deep reddish-copper color with a medium thick fluffy white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Sticky small patches of lacing. Aroma of malt, caramel and dark fruit. Light to medium body with flavors of earthy malt, fruit and a bit of salted caramel. The finish is sweet with a caramel malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap at the brewery pours a clear caramel brown with a ring of white head. Nose is interesting, some brown bread with salted butter, a little trashy some raisin, caramel. Flavor is better, caramel, malt, raisin, a little cakey. Full bodied, sticky, odd finish.

On tap @ the brewery. Dark reddish rust appearance with a brown head. Aroma is heavy caramel and toffee with some apple and pear. A little gooey and sweet in the mouth. The salt isn’t too powerful and shit, it may not be a bad thing here. There’s still plenty of brown sugar and white fruits in the flavor. OK. Better than I was expecting but it’s too sweet for my tastes.

Tap at the brewery - nose is lightly peaty, very mild salt, toasty, bready malt, a touch of toffee - flavor is rich malts, dark bread, leafy bitterness, light smoke, just a hint of savor saltiness that adds an interesting depth - I dig this, but it is slightly watery in texture.
