Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 5.5

Tap, which means I assume this is a 4% version. Pours hazy chestnut, small beige head, decent lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, hint of root beer, Pepsi, burned malt. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter. Medium body.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s. Black appearance with a thin brown head. Aroma has cookies and cream, chocolate, lots of roast, and some grassy hops. Medium sweetness. Low bitterness. Creamy dark chocolate flavor with some marzipan, vanilla, and pecans. Pretty good.

Appearance: dark brown with a tan head and lots of lace left in the glass
Aroma: roasted malt with some nuts
Taste: roasted malt with some hop bitterness. A hint of smokiness finishes this beer out nicely.
This is a very good Schwartzbier.
