Can. Amber pour. Aroma of sweet rum, raisin, vanilla, caramel, red fruit and malt. Taste has caramelised malt, red fruit, vanilla, nice warming war, sticky caramel, molasses and bitter hops. Really nice, the rum works well with the barley wine.

blik, donker bruin tot zwart met lichte kraag. aroma van graan, zoet, alcohol, en erg veel rum, smaken zijn zacht, romig, zoet redelijk, alcoholisch, erg veel rum, mij een beetje te veel, redelijke body, eik, vanille, rozijn.

Ruby colour, beige head and some lace. Strong wood, rhum and alcohol in the nose. Medium-bodied. Slick, oily palate. Fruity, sweetish rhum dominates the flavour. Alcohol of course but not so boozy than nose hints. Wood also less dominant in the flavour. Rhum bomb.

opalescent dark amber to mahogany colour, large dense beige-ish head; aroma of raisins, dried sour cherry, dark chocoate, some vanilla and maybe whisky notes - I'm not sure that I can feel any sign of rhum...taste has the same notes with biscuits and alcoholic aftertaste; good one!

0.33 l can from 'Ace Drinks', best before December 2023. Clear, ruby with a thin, frothy, almost stable, light beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of molasses, caramel, raisins, vanilla and some rum. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly fruity taste of molasses, caramel, raisins, vanilla and some rum, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, a bit boozy finish. Medium to full body, creamy to oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite heavy, a slow sipper for sure, nevertheless relatively balanced but not too refined. Nice enough.

Can at home. Black with white head. Sweet deep roasted barley and chocolate malts. Apple syrup, oxidized iron, peat, tobacco, salmiak. Big sweet and bitter. Full body, soft carbonation. Dense and heavy feel. Strong stuff.

Draft at Billie’s Beer Festival ‘18. Dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of oak, veggies, caramel, booze and toffee. Flavour is light heavy sweet. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
