On tap at Barley’s. Pours a clear deep brown with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of roasted malts and dark grains with a bit of earthy chocolate. Flavor has lots roasted malts with earthy dark grains and bit of must.

Cask shared with Drake. Pours a reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. Fair amount of cocoa, earth, and coffee in the nose. Moderate bitterness. Nice coffee presence. Light sweetness. Well balanced. Good.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a deep amber glare with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and light coffee herbal. Dark roasted malty flavoured. Smooth coffee malty and toasted finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours an opaque dark brown with a lacing off-white head. Subtle roast, subtle coffee. Medium body, heavy roast, quite some bitterness and a massive roasty bitterness. Not bad. 080512

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, coffee, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, roasted malt, and coffee, leading to a dry coffee finish.
