Can at home grabbed from ABC Ocoee. Dirty light orange pour. Nose is floral hops and faint fruits. Tastes of lemon, bready, straw, ripened cantaloupe. Some bitterness. Pleasant enough.

12 oz can from Jacksonville. Hazy gold pour with a thick khaki head and very good retention. Good lacing. Smooth, light and flat mouthfeel. Easy drinking light amber lager taste with minimal bitterness. Simple and enjoyable.

Can: Corn puffs cereal, hay nose. Clear golden, thick head. Honey, barley malt, hay, bread, a hint of chardonnay. Medium body, easy carbonation. I love these sweet malt pale beers.

On tap at brewery, pours a cloudy gold with small white head. Aroma is honey malt and grain. Sweet honey malt and light citrus, easy to crush, very nice session ale.

Can. Pours hazy golden, small white head, nice lacing. Aroma is a bit unpleasant, honey, a bit like rotten tomato, grass. Tastes better than it smells, light sweet, lite bitter. Pretty nice mouthfeel, creamy. Great example of a beer that hits the intangibles well and fails at what matters.

A hard beer to rate, and I don’t want to homer it, but then I kinda do. Objectively, its an uninteresting blonde ale. Golden color, fluffy head, no hop nose or flavors, just a balancing bitterness at the end giving it a sense of dryness, otherwise very light pale malts. Light but not watery mouthfeel, has a softness to it. Out of the can, this one is great for humid Florida weather.

Can marked Jon Boat Coastal Ale. Slightly hazy gold body that throws up a creamy off-white head. Dusty malt aroma. Floral hops.. Very little flavor, very light and refreshing, but too much like water. Not unpleasant, just nothing here.

12oz bonus can courtesy of markwise. The can states Coastal Ale and makes no reference to Kolsch. Interestingly I just had another American crafted Kolsch that missed the style by a country mile and here we have something that doesn’t. The can pours out with a clear gold body that supports a nice looking semi dense off white head of foam. The mild aroma offers up snippets of minerals, earthy to spicy hops and a vague hop bitter note. The taste is smooth sessionable crispness. The modest notes of sweet malts, touch of biscuit malts, faint lime and sort of vague hop bitterness leaning toward citrus all go just so well together. I get a pleasing lingering mild hoppiness that seems vaguely citrus hanging on into the after taste. Nice Kolsch.
