Can and bottle in Windhoek. It pours clear yellow with a thick white head. The aroma is soft, fresh, sweet lemon, touch of lemonade, white bread, grain and straw. The taste is crisp, rather mellow, sweet lemon/lemonade, straw, pale malts, grass and some grain with a dry finish. Light + body and high, foamy carbonation. This is actually pretty nice for a pale lager. Drinking this chilled makes sense in Namibia. Significantly better than tafel imo.

Backlog. At Hotel Europa Hof in Bismarck Straße, Swakopmund, Namibia 12.07.12. Clear golden. Good, but short-lasting, head. Little aroma, some bitterness, neutral taste. Could have been any Euro-lager.

My friend Robert brought this one back for me from a trio to Africa. +++ Sampled from a 16 oz green bottle this beer poured a bright golden color with a large creamy orange-white head that left no lacing. The aroma was tangy, almost skunky, sweetish and a bit sour with faint grassy hops. The flavor was tangy, sour mash, faint grassy and floral hops. Medium length finish. Light to medium body.

33 cl. can sampled courtesy of PriorL. Thx! Pale golden, small white head. Slight skunk in the nose, yeast, soap, cleaning agent, weak, not too bothersome. Taste is slightly soapy, grass, touch bitter pale grains, slight white bread. Lighter body, bit thinner carb. Not particularly exiting but not terrible or anything & certainly drinkable.

Another one of Matt’s. Huge thanks! Way back in the beginnings of my admin career I had, barely having turned 20 some weeks before (irrelevant for the story but boy does time fly), taken it upon myself to verify this one, added by my great friend OGIVLADO (sorry, inside joke), and contacted the brewery. To my surprise, they actually responded (a surprise for a macro), confirmed it was a new, different beer and now... some 6 years after, I get. to try it. Yellow-golden body with a lasting thick white head. A symbol of its "draughtness" I reckon. Very light sourish aroma, some n(ice?) maltiness, herbal notes, light dust. Empty taste, very light grain. But hey, teasing Ogi because he gave it a 3.5 initially was fun. :)

Can sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks troubles. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of a bit of graininess, a bit of malt and some grassy notes. Flavor has a bit of sweetness, a bit grainy with a drier finish with faint hoppiness. Rather light-bodied.

440 ml can. Pale golden body with a foamy white head. Mild grainy aroma. Flavor is sweet grainy and rather neutral, not much bitterness. Thin body and weak aftertaste. Drinkable but definitively not much going on here.

Can. It pours a clear, golden body under a small, white head. Weak, fruity and grainy aroma with some grass. The same goes for the flavor, lacking big time on most things. Almost undetectable bitterness. Thin to medium body, quite dry. Not bad in any way, but utterly boring. Slakes the thirst I guess, but that’s probably all. 130204
