A full-bodied and sweet Amber Ale finished off with spicy, peppery rye malts and paired with the wonderful Citra hop. Citra is abundant with intense, wild flavours, from bold citrus to tropical fruits such as mango and papaya. It is as complex as it is delicious.

Bottle at Small Bar Bristol. It pours murky amber with a medium off-white head. The nose is bitter-sweet, strawberry cheesecake, tangerine, earth and brown bread. The taste is bitter, earthy, orange peel, brown bread, light spice, grapefruit and lemon poppy seed muffin with a dry, citric finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. I love the strawberry notes on the smell. Another winner from Wiper & True.

Bottle from Corks of Cotham, Bristol. Slightly hazy amber, with a thin white head and moderate carbonation. Aroma of citrus fruits, with a touch of pineapple, grassy hops and earthy maltiness. Flavour of solid, and slightly spicy, rye, more sweetish citrus fruits, leading to a dryish finish. Excellent.
