Pours dark red to light brown, still possible to see a bit through it. Huge slightest off-white head, good enough retention but near to no lacing to speak of. A quite subdued aroma shows a brown bread/bread crust base with lighter notes of cola to bring a a bit of softness, followed by a hint of red fruits and a slightly off-beat earthiness. Taste notes more or less follow the aroma, again with quite low intensity and most of all in a not too clean/polished way, with some unclean earthy bitterness growing in finish and aftertaste. Medium sweet and medium bitterness, with a balanced mouth and a bitter, semi-dry edge in aftertaste. Light to medium bodied with slightly sub-medium carbonation, an easy enough mouthfeel. Not at all impressed.

500 ml bottle. Murky darkest amber with a big fluffy head. Loads of roasted nuts and malt, dry citrus notes, slightly metallic, noble Saaz hops, dark bread. Dry hoppy bitterness, roasty malty sweetness. Full bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry roasty bittersweet finish. Really good!

Klare bräunlich rötliche Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, getreidiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, getreidig mit Karamell, schwach hopfig. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit sanfter Kohlensäure.

330ml Bottle - Dark amber with red tinges. Caramel, grain and raisins in the aroma. Caramel, raisins, berries and some hints of spice in the taste. Quite nicely balanced. There is a sweetness at first but it never overwhelms the other elements for me.
