A grapefruit harvest of citrus melts away to sticky roasted caramel and rye warmth, all resting on a malted biscuit backbone. Then ‘The Hammerhead’s trademark bitter finish reasserts its authority.

On tap at Vultures Lane. Pours hazy gold. Grapefruit pith, pepper, some caramel, lots of peach in the middle and then a very bitter finish. Pretty nice, but not my favourite hammer.

Pours unclear blonde, small white head; Smell is intense, pine hops. Taste is full, strong bitterness, rye indeed, gets a bit in the way of the hops though. not bad, not at all, but perhaps not totally in balance.
