Full bodied, sweet finish, with the subtle use of English bittering hops.

Being a stones throw from the old Tolly Brewery, people kept talking about the Cobnut they made. This is my attempt, although due to age related issues I’ve never had a chance to try the original!

Malt: Amber, Chocolate, Pale, Wheat
Hops: Chinook, Fuggles

Cask at the Briarbank, Ipswich. Pours bright clear chestnut brown with a small lasting off white head. Aroma of toffee, malt, and nut. Medium to heavy sweetness, moderate bitterness develops. Medium body, oily texture. Finish has a touch of nut and slight sharpness. Quite decent.

To soft carbonation, and to warm destroys it completely.
Clear nutty color with a thin off white layer on top. Mild intensity in the aroma. Medium light body and an almost flat carbonation level. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Bready and caramel malty flavor. Most of it stayed in the glass before someone took it away.

Almost clear deep amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry. Decent carbonation. Light malts, just a touch of creamy sweetness. Pretty tangy beer, tangy dried fruits, touch of lemon. Little floralness. Bright but over tangy.
