Can. Pours rich gold. Floral, biscuit, herbal, honey, cracker. Medium body. Pretty good.

Can from Tavour. Pours brassy gold with a white head that foamed away rather quickly. Light toffee aroma. Med body. Flavor is toffee/bready/caramel with a touch of mostly floral hop, tho a bit of spice seems present. Decent Maibock.

Draft at Fonta Flora Morganton. Pours a clear deep gold with orange highlights and fluffy finger of white foam. Honey, malt and cereal notes on the nose. Palate is similar. Sweet honey, bread and light peppercorn on the back end. Finishes with a lingering sweetness.

16 oz. can purchased at Spruce Creek Provisions, Kittery. A near clear golden color. Aroma and flavor are identical. Sweet grain, mild bread, and the faintest hop note. Mild lager yeast in the finish. Lighter side of medium body. True to the style which itself is very simple.

Fairly crisp amber and light copper glow with a thinnish, single to two centimetre tall just off-white head on top that fades pretty quicly. Aroma of grass, hay, light resin, a touch of caramel and toffee with a light dose of bitterness from the yeast at the tail end. Medium-bodied; Strong nutty and earthy elements up front with a copper and metallic finish showing some subdued sweetness more from the caramel than anything else, but also with some light nut-based sugars as well. Aftertaste shows more of a refined malt and grain flavour which also layers this as a noticeable lager with the yeast and malt components that are well-defined and subdued, yet noticeable. Overall, a good enough beer that shows decently well for a lager, but also a touch too bitter and robust for a lot of people, but sampled as a lager and well supported by the components, not a bad beer. Compared to other beers in the style, there are some of the best by the brewery and show some variance throughout. I sampled this beer purchased from Greenville Beer Exchange in Greenville, South Carolina on 31-May-2018 for US$3,99 sampled at home in Washington on 10-August-2018.

Pour is a almost clear orange with a large white head. Aroma is caramel sugar malt with a little toffee. Flavor is more of a caramel malt and some honeycomb sweetness with some baked bread. It's not overly sweet, just kind of noticeable after the swallow. Finish dries out quickly leaving room for another sip. I like when a brewer tries a style that is a bit out side the box.

Not a bad beer. Hops stand out a bit for a bock. Cascade, I think. Drinkable.
