When our friends at Threes Brewing in Brooklyn reached out asking if we wanted to be a part of their “People Power” series - the answer was an easy yes. People Power is an inspired, diverse, and united portfolio of craft beer and cider produced to help support the ACLU’s tireless efforts to protect the rights of all.
Cool, but what does it taste like?
For this project we went into the cellar and chose a gin barrel aged cider using local apples Sunrise Orchards and then bottle conditioned it to perfection. Our goal was make a cider with purpose, that tastes delicious.

Club bottle. NB glass @ home. Clear, filtered, soft pale gold brew. Scent is uninspired. White melon rind, unripe fruit, yeast, lysol. Green, acidic & bitter core apple flavor, lushed up by an unexpected buttery follow through. A little metal, more green bitterness on the finish. Slight slick sweetness. Moderate carbonation that falls fast. Gin was a little disappointing. None of these one offs have been as good as their core bottlings.
