First, I dig the artwork & the texture of the paper labels. Low ball pour. Pale, clear, still, wheat-colored body. Stirred up the sediment some to grab a better nose. Smells curiously of bourbon. Gently sweet, with a long whiff of sweet & sharp macerated apples. Potentially tasty yeasties & white grapes finish off my nostrils. Taste is gently acidic, with mildly sweet apples macerated in a big woody presence. Bottle says aged in oak, & while I do like it, it comes off stronger then had anticipated. Middle way through, all the acid, lime(?), lots of chalk & sweet wine grapes push through. Body is thin, but the chalkiness gives it some rigidity. A very winey 9.4%, though being slightly sweet & tart, it is still very easy. A little expensive, but I’m enjoying these ciders much more then other niche brands at this price range. Worth it. :-)
