(Draught at Mother Kellyโ€™s, Bethnal Green, London, 21 April 2016) Pale golden colour with brief, white head. Malty nose with bread, grass and hay. Malty taste with notes of bread, grass, honey, some toffee and a gentle grassy bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Hardly exciting, but well balanced and tasty. Quite nice.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Clear golden body with a few yeast flecks beneath a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of pear and shortbread. Flavour of grass, sorrel and biscuit. Thin body with a light, fizzy mouthfeel. Pretty standard stuff. Virtually identical to the Early version - perhaps itโ€™s slightly cleaner.

Bottle from The Bottle Shop Bermondsey. Clear gold lasting cream head. oh yes definitely a lager more a helles style. Rather light in mouth lemony some hoppiness. I rather liked it. Simple beer but well done. Lovely with chicken satay sticks. Not over carbonated.

Keg at BD AGM. It pours clear amber with a decent white head. The aroma is soft, bready, cereal, grain, light lemon and dull spice. The taste is crisp, bitter, minerals, lemon, toasted grain, straw, buttered bread with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Ok lager.

Almost clear gold beer, thin white head. Palate is light and semi dry, fine minerally crispness. Clean pale malts, thin cream. Mild floralness. Whisper of citrus that gets tangy. Not bad. Very very similar to Keyworth early, just a little less sweet and a little more tangy.
