Sample at the taproom. Cloudy orange-amber color with a medium bone white head that recedes gradually. Small patches of lace. Aroma of malt, caramel and cinnamon. Medium body with a sweet caramel malt and cinnamon flavor, with subtle woody character. The finish is malty with a sweet cinnamon maple aftertaste. Above average overall.

Pour is a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is at first a nice spruce that give this a wintergreen smell. Also some cinnamon and other various spices are detected. Flavor is a decent spice with more of the spruce showing. Reminds me of a evergreen forest. Pretty good beer. Everything in a winter warmer you are looking for. Not overly spiced or heavy just a jumble of flavors that get better as the beer warms.

Bomber from Total Wine - Sacramento. Pours hazy copper with a slight beige head. Warm, moderately dark fruits aromas. Near full bodied. Flavor is cinnamon, maple, fresh something. Maybe fresh light stone fruit. Might be a hint of twiginess. Pretty nice drink. Finishes "fresh" - not exactly bitter, not exactly sweet. Sort of nice fresh fruit.

Lightly hazy amber beer with a small off white head. Light crispy palate. Mild sweet creamy malt. Minerals. Light pine and spruce sweetness. Mild maple and a whisper of cinnamon. Smooth semi dry finish with fresh light malt cream. Nicely judged!

22oz bomber pours with a clear amber body with copper hues and supporting a light tan head of foam. The aroma is very spruce and coriander like with sharp maple notes in the background. The taste is full of spruce and coriander like spices and yeasty spices followed up by sweet malts and a bit of sweet maple syrup.

2011 version on tap at the brewery. Pours with a hazed amber body with a minimal off-white head. Aromas are of dark fruits, caramel, spices, a bit vinous, bready, and maybe a small hint of butterscotch (diacetyl like). Flavors are fruity (esters), caramel, alcohol, malty, medium spice and dark fruits. Medium carbonation with a slightly fuller body.
